Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Our refinery is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and our trading desk is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Please call for special arrangements outside of these normal business hours.
Q: Can I schedule a visit to the refinery?
A: Absolutely, any customer may witness their material being processed at any time. For more useful information please check the Visiting RMC section.
Q: What should I expect during a visit?
A: You will be asked to be checked-in by security and to remove all jewelry. In order to enter the witness room, you must have sturdy, closed-toed shoes. For more useful information please check the Visiting RMC section.
Q: How is the metal assayed for purity?
A: Initial x-ray analysis is performed upon receipt of material; this is followed by a more comprehensive fire assay. Details of this process can be found in our corporate video and also in the section “Assaying.”

Q: What material you do not handle?
A: We do not handle ferrous metals, metals containing deleterious elements, or any non-precious metals. For more information, please see our Terms & Conditions.
Q: How can I set up an account with RMC?
A: In order to start working with us you can call us total free on 888-685-8505 or you can visit our website. You will be asked to fill out a patriot act form. We won’t be able to process your shipment unless we have this in our possession. For further detail, please visit “Open an Account.”
Trading Questions
Q: When can I lock in ounces?
A: 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
Q: What is the minimum number of fine ounces I can lock in to sell to RMC?
A: There are no minimums. “Good-‘Til-Cancelled” orders and “Day” orders do have minimum orders associated:
- 100 oz. Au (Gold)
- 5,000 oz. Ag (Silver)
- 50 oz. Pt (Platinum)
- 100 oz. Pd (Palladium)
Q: How long do I have to fulfill my ounces that I have locked in?
A: As noted in the Standard Terms & General Operating Conditions, sellers have a maximum of ten (10) business days to fulfill outstanding contracts.
Q: What is your premium for coins?
A: It varies according to type of coin, supply and demand. Please call our trading desk for up-to-the-minute rates.
Q: What are your premiums for bullion?
A: We have very competitive premiums. Please call us or visit COEX website and you won’t be disappointed!
Q: When can I expect payment for my metal?
A: Settlement time will be discussed in your terms when you set up an account with us.
- RMC prides itself on rapid turn-around times.
- An advance can be offered to customers depending on metals type, upon receiving your metal shipment and preliminary analysis it.
- The final portion of your settlement will be paid after fire assay analysis.
Q: What will I be charged for the transaction?
A: Wire fees: $30 Domestic - $50 International
